Michael Abrash and even more post mortems

I've been trying for a couple of hours now to find post mortems for my top five favorite games, and I couldn't get anything about the development of Zelda: A link to the past. If anyone finds any articles or interviews where they talk about the development of Zelda: A link to the past, for SNES, I would appreciate if you could write a link to it in the comments. Instead of Zelda I'll post some about Doom instead.

The book Graphic Programming Black Book has gone out of print, so it's now available for free to download. The writer, Michael Abrash, is a well known programmer that after working on both Doom and Quake, he left Id Software to work at Microsoft and the Xbox. "This is the only time anyone has ever left id that we aren't better off without" writes John Carmack. Michael later left Microsoft in the early 2002 to work for RAD Game Tools instead.

I'm currently watching a 53min long video with Warren Spector at Game Developers Conferance 2003. He's talking about how sequels currently dominating the market and how to please publishers and buyers and still maintain innovation.
