The Swag Case

Ikea - Detolf (Vitrinskåp)

My Pokémon Platinum arrived today! :)

I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Video Games Plus online, where I pre-ordered this package. I ordered Pokémon Diamond & Pearl guide book, and Pokémon Platinum for the price of $69.97 CAD (506.77 SEK) (incl. shipping), and they sent me the guide book immediately with no extra shipping costs.

Both the book and this game got through the toll without any trouble and I didn't have to pay any extra import costs. The game was released the day before yesterday, and it's already in my mailbox here in Sweden. So, fast, reliable, good price, likely to get past toll is the reason why I would like to recommend Video Games Plus for all your importing needs ;)

Oh, and the guide book wasn't worth it. I recommend a combination of gamefaqs and Serebii pokédex instead.

Library of the motivated - Part Deux

So now I'm back from the GAME LAN, it was fun, but people seemed to have disappeared after the first day, some strange Houdini mystery trick I guess. Waiting for my arrival at home was a package containing all my new books, happy = 1.

Here's a IRL™ screenshot of most of my other books in my shelf.
As you might have guessed, I'm studying game programming, although I'm not good at it, it's much fun and valuable knowledge. I hope to one day be able to tell others what to do for me, instead of having to do it myself.

Razer Copperhead information

First thing I noticed with this mouse is how incredible smooth it is and how precise it feels, and secondly I noticed I can't do quick movements because then the mouse lags. This isn't good at all because I'm a low sensitivity guy which like to make quick and precise movements. But after following the guide below (in Swedish) it seemd to improve the problem, but not completly, so I guess it's my Icemat who don't like lasers pointed at it...

O Speakers, Where Art Thou?

So this is it, I was at the mail service yesterday and they told me the speakers hadn't come in yet, so I look it up today to see if they came during the night or something, and they've been at the mail service since before I asked them yesterday, the only thing is that it's the mail at the east part of town and not the west/middle part of town where I live. So how come they are so far away from me, my beloved speakers?

I pickup the phone, make a phone call to post service east side and I'm like "Yo, whazzup, west side rules" and they were all like "Dude, wtf mate? Got no clue, call this other guy", so I did. He tells me to call back to them instead, looks like we got ourself a moment 22 here people. So after calling back and fourth for a couple of hours, we finally came to the conclusion that they were supposed to deliver the speakers to my home (26kg of speaker mass) but they couldn't get into the building where I lived because it was locked, it's always locked and they still manage to deliver spam commercial somehow. So either I could pay them to try it again or they could drive to mail service at my side of town. Now I'm waiting for 14:00 so I can run over to the post office and finally be re-united with my precious speakers!

Dude, where's my speakers?

Razer Copperhead, yet another geektastic gadget. I'll probably make a review or something on this one in a week or two. Now to figure out what I'm going to do with the spare one I got...

The library of the motivated

Ok, it's time again to order a batch of books, most of them for school, some for pleasure. Also, I needed to order a new copy of Masters of Doom. I gave my other one away to Saint as a parting gift, and as a thanks for looting his apartment. Masters of Doom is probably the best book I've ever read, mostly due for my interest in the game industry and ID Softwares history. It's the book about John Carmacks and John Romeros childhood, and how they met each other and created the PC gaming industry of today, and how they came to part ways.

Man, I'm going to be flat broke, after ordering a projector, surround system, gaming mouse, books, tickets to events and travelling fees and the ninja suit. I guess the ninja suit have to wait...

Real life (tm) ninja

Yes, I'm the ninja pirate of doom, or soon to be atleast. Got a tip of a website that sold ninja clothing really cheap, time to spend more money on things that normal people wouldn't even consider.

Leave no man behind

One of the negative effects of staying up to 07:13 in the morning before going to bed, is that you'll sleep to like 19:00 on the evening. This sucks because firstly, I don't feel rested, secondly I have to go back to sleep soon again and thirdly, William picked up my projector today. Well that seems fine and convenient, don't you think? The problem is that he left my poor speakers behind, and now they have to spend the night being lonely in some cold storage room...

Markus and William from the B.A.C evening

William is the one on the right. For those of you who are reading this blog and don't know it, we're going in the same class at school and I'm sharing appartment with him, we got away much cheaper that way :)

Welcome home, projector
