The aftermaths of the raid against ThePirateBay

During the raid, the day before yesterday, against The Pirate Bay, the police didn't just seize servers and electronical equipment from them but from several other sites and services as well. It's estimated that around 200-300 personal and buisness servers were taken down. Here's a very short list of sites that I know of that got effected by the raid:

During the night, Denial of service-attacks have been conducted against the domain http://www.polisen.se (swedish police) which resulted in the site being overloaded and taken down for maintance. As of this moment, it hasn't recovered yet.

This graph shows the internet traffic for Stockholm, and if you look at the wednesday you'll notice something really intersting. The same day as the police raid, the internet traffic for Stockholm was lowered by 20% and you'll see a huge gap in the curve.

Swedish news reports that the initiative for the raid was pressured from Motion Picture Association of America and the US ministry for foreign affairs, and that swedens minister of justice Thomas Bodström, abused his power and position to enforce the raid, even though they didn't have enough bases for it.

He's now being charged for "ministerstyre" (solely making governmental decisions) and is being reported to swedens constitutional committee.

15:00 tomorrow, there will be a demonstration on Mynttorget, Stockholm, for all of the preliminary investigations to be closed down and every confiscated computer and server returned.
