Blizzard Taking Payment for Game Demo?

"Pay $3.71 (save $1.24!) to try our game today!"
Whoa, this is really absurd in my humble opinion. Apperantly, Blizzard is taking a payment for people to try out their game. I mean, a trial/demo, shouldn't it be free and supposed to be for you to try before you decide to pay for the thing?

They did this so someone wouldn't speed hack around the game training thrall to darn or some crazy thing like that. if it was free, anyone could just dl a hack that exists ( pretty detectable ) and kill anyone in the game O.o. it basically speeds up your character 2-20,000%. So, 3800% would mean the speed of 19 epic mounts and .1 speed with TuF. Also, incredible regen rates. But ya, kind of getting tired of paying 15 dollars a month for WoW, after 5 60s it just gets old.

My thoughts is that it is to try and cut down on spammers. One of the main ways spammers operate is to make tons of free trial accounts and then flood the game with spam, when they are baned, they don't care and move to the next account.
Making people pay for the accounts will really help reduce this problem.
I am all for it, as the couple bucks is not much for trying the game out, and it makes the game experience better for everyone in game =)
