We’ve invented a fighting mechanic in keeping with our literary theme – Words as Weapons. The player can literally pluck words like “burn,” “fly,” or “expand” from the world and throw these as weapons – with self evident effect.GamesRadar - American McGee interview

Folklore
Download High-Quality (.mov)
This game art design looks totally awsome, but unfortunately I can't say the same about the gameplay. It's probably not a game I will pick up to play, and I would've much rather seen this become a full length movie instead... with better voice acting / japanese voice actors.

My first minutes with the Tabula Rasa Beta
This clip is quite boring for most of you, but I'm quite sure it will make a few peeps smile in the same way as I did. The reason? I can't help but wondering what lies beyond the scenery :)
EDIT: After walking around the entire edge of the world, I realized that you could simply press M to bring up a map, and it showed me that the first place you visit is just an island.
So I played along, and did the first few missions until I could get transported out of there, and it seems like the new place is also just an island. Where are the big worlds?

Molyneux thoughts on death in games
In a interview with the fan site Loinhead (not a spelling mistake), Molyneux said that deaths isn't handled well in most games, and I'm totally agreeing with him.
"You go back in time twenty minutes to do the same thing over again. That's fine if I'm playing a platformer, not so fine if you're doing an RPG game."

I still think it would've been neat though, if Blizzard would've dared to try making a MMORTS. But then again, that's new territory and a huge risk, aswell as they already got a MMO of their own. World of something, don't really remember.

Unreal Engine 3 vs CryEngine 2
Note, this is only a comparision by freeze frame screenshots and doesn't come close to compare all the engine features, nor how everything actually blends in together ingame, with all animations and particles.

Pictures from Birdie and Teewars development
And this last picture is the final version of the map that made it into the Teewars demo. It's a touched up version of the tiny map (1/3 the size of the big map), and since we thought we were only going to show 3 players playing at once, we settled for this one.
But, as soon as we started showing Teewars on the big screen, the server maxed out with 8 players, which this level was much too small for. Perhaps the big version wouldn't have been soo bad after all. You can download and try it out for yourself from the Teewars link below.
